Easy idea that would be an awesome gift!
Ingredients:
Pen
Wire Cutters
Candle
Wire of choice (Mine was wrapped in like raffia or something)
Coil the wire around the pen to get it tight and then keep the wrap going until it is as big as the bottom of your candle. 
Start coiling up your candle to desired length. 
Cut about 5 inches past what were you stop the coil.
Bend up and make a hook with the end. Hang from your tree and enjoy! My mom bought these cute flameless candles today and I loved them, but couldn't bring myself to spend 4 dollars on a 5 inch candle.

Fun! Did you know they make wire curlers? They are like $3 at Wood Connection and apparently they're awesome.
