New toys! part I

Brock and I bought this dresser from Pier1 over the weekend. The side of it was broken, but Brock was sure he could fix it. So we bought it. I won't tell you how much we spent, but i will tell you we saved about 500 dollars from what it originally was. Yeah, Awesome.

Well, at the lovely store of Pier1 they decided to place this broken dresser on top of another dresser, and then put a giant plate on a stand on top of the pile. Brock was messing with the dresser to see why it was "as is" and because of the broken side, the drawers didn't move in and out. As we're trying to put the drawer back in, the dresser slips back, pushing the back legs off the dresser it was one, and causing the plate on top to fall and shatter... taking a few other things down with it. Yay us. The girls rush over and the first thing i say it "that wasnt' over 100 dollars was it?" Luckily, we didn't have to pay for it!!! Good job Pier1 for not having a "you break it you buy it" policy. well, we didn't break the dresser, but we did buy it!!! We borrowed a measuring tape to make sure it would fit in our car. IT WOULD! YAY! so we buy it and take it outside and guess what!!! It will fix in the car, just not through the door, brock measured the inside of the car, not the door entry. Who can we call? who has a truck, Brad's out of town, Kristin is dress shopping, hum... hum... so we end up getting a hold of our bishop, who luckily wasn't busy and came and drove it home for us! THANKS BISHOP! Brock repaired it and now it's settled beautifully in our bedroom. :) Good times!
